Anti-Corruption(ACTU) Unit. The Anti-Corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit is an arm of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure that public service are duly informed and enlightened on the negative effects of corruption. The functions of ACTU include the following:
Enlightenment of staff on the ills and damaging consequences of corruption and its tendencies to the development of the country.
Inspection and Examination of practices and procedures in MDA’s with a view of determining any possible tendencies towards aiding and abetting corruption and putting in place measures to prevent it.
Investigations of any acts of corruption in MDA’s and forward the report of such investigation to ICPC.
